My air-conditioning system would not shut down, but at the same time it would not start up. The thermostat seem to be an operative. The technician showed up on site and did a very thorough job examining the system and determining the thermostat was bad. He was able to get the system up and running for me. He also stayed on site long enough for the system to cycle to ensure it was totally operative.
